Music Groups

Vocal Choirs
Singers (youth and adult) interested in singing with the Chancel Choir on Sunday mornings, join us on Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. in the Choir Room. The group provides the special music for worship services, sermons in word and song, and special holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Palm Sunday, and Music Festival Sunday.

Christmas Concert - If you’d just like to sing Christmas music and participate in the annual Christmas Concert, the first rehearsal for this glorious event is on a selected Saturday in September. All the Christmas music will be distributed and work will begin!

Ye Olde English Christmas Feaste - an event that only comes along every other year. Talk to Dr. Lynn about the rehearsal schedule. This is a costumed event (costumes provided) that celebrates the season in a different style - complete with Boar’s Head procession, wassail toasting and a catered dinner.

AWSM-J Kids and Journey Singers - for kids K-5th grade. This year we’ll work on a Veggie Tales style Christmas program. Who knows what Larry the Cucumber has in store for us as we celebrate the holiday! Wednesday evenings during the AWSM-J program and Sunday mornings during Sunday School in November will be the targeted rehearsal times.

Joyful Notes - junior and senior high youth.
Rehearsals are at specially designated dates and times.
Talk to Dr. Lynn if you’re interested in any of the vocal choirs.

Special Ensemble Groups - Men's Chorus, Women's Chorus, Camarillo Folk, Chancel Ensemble share at church throughout the year.  The groups rotate throughout the year, each group rehearsing for 2 or 3 weeks prior to singing the last Sunday of a given month.  Rehearsals are scheduled for Thursday evenings, 6:30 - 7:15 p.m., prior to the regular rehearsal for the Chancel Choir.

AWSM-J Singers - Designed for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade, these groups practice on Wednesdays, when the AWSM-J program is in session. The children learn basic music skills, theory, rhythm, and the fundamentals of singing. Whenever the group sings in church, they wear special hats, vests, and T-shirts – rainbow colors!
